An anniversary to remember

My dad has been pretty sick lately and can hardly get out of his chair. Today was the 41st wedding anniversary. We knew they would have a hard time celebrating because it feel on a Sunday and my dad is too ill to go out., so my sister Stephanie came up with the best idea. We got the kids dressed up and we put on music fancied up and table and made a yummy meal for them. It was so much fun. My peak was this moment because I know it meant a lot to my parents and I know it will be a moment none of us will forget.

I never want to forget how funny it was watching those kids serve. They tried so hard to be professional, and said real. Eli and Liam tried so hard to help and do that part too. Then later they got a little comfortable and started stealing their food or drink. It was really funny. Also I somehow didn't bring Liam's pants so he served the whole meal dressed, but without pants...he even had his shoes and socks on. It was quit the site.

Today is my parents 41st wedding anniversary. Due to my dads healthy my parents couldn't go out to celebrate. We (the Ash's and the Gilmore's) made them a romantic dinner at home.

This is their service staff all dressed up and looking sharp.

First course Spinach and Artichoke dip with chips and garlic nan for dipping

Main course served by the lovely Aly. Shrimp scampi with tomato basil rice and Parmesan lemon asparagus.

I guess we are not exactly five star when the wait staff is stealing drinks every once and a while

Another clue it wasn't five start is one kiddo didn't have any pants on (oops forgot them at home) he also stole some bread from Papa. Ehtan is on the other side of the table doing his magic trick. We even provided entertainment!

And last but not least dessert. We wanted it to sound fancy so Ethan served it while Jacob described it in Spanish. Hielo de crema con fruta fresca. It was a hit.

After dinner we all sat and watched a Video that the primary made for my dad.
Today was a magical day and moments like this are very precious to my family right now. Even Lilly went to my dad. He whole existence she would never go to him with out crying. Today she smiled and played with him.

A few Missed pictures

My blogging/journaling has fallen behind. I have still been taking some fun pictures that of course I never want to forget the moments and the stories associated with them so here are a few I missed.
I was doing school with the boys this morning and they got stumped on this one. Finally I said, "this is the letter I. I is for ice cream." Liam looked at it for a while then with a very confused expression he said, "but it looks like poop."

Enjoying one of our favorite places today the Phoenix Children's museum. This is Lilly's first time playing. Usually mommy is holding her or she's in the stroller. She is loving this place.

We had fun times with our buddies. here are the kiddos with Rainbow the dragon and the snakes they made. it's nice to have such fun friends (with Britney Cotter)

Today I decided Liam was going to write all his letters. I soon realized this was going to be very difficult. Then all the sudden he got it and did great. This was his first try at the s which I think is the hardest letter. I'm very impressed.

Went to Chil Fil A with our friends. it was crazy busy but a lot of fun. They let kids come back and make their own Sundays for free! It was super cute.

I heard my boys fighting in the other room. I took their toys and made them crawl in my bed to take a nap. Jacob sometimes has the best parenting advice.

This is a new game Lilly and I play. She stands there and I gently move my legs up and down and she just laughs and smiles. She feels like such a big girl!

Father's Day

Since we just got back from Canada I was worried Father's day was going to be a bust. Lucky for us it wasn't. All the ladies made the guys per their request Green Chili. It turned out super good! Then we all just hung out and talked and enjoyed on another. Oh ya and the dads all got some little massages. I think they all know how much we love an appreciate them. We are so very lucky to have these guys in our lives!

This is the Big Mac Daddy. He gave me three of the best things in my life. So today is his special day. Made homemade Green Chili per his request. Love this guy so much . Happy father's Day daddy Ash

My dad has been sick in his chair or a hospital bed for three weeks now. Poor guy is stiff. So we are going to rub his feet until the cobbler beeps.
Jacob couldn't miss out on some massages so Eli and I are giving him a nice massage while he watches the game and reads comics. I'm pretty sure he thinks he had died and gone to heaven.

Banff Canada

This week we have been in Banff Canada with Jacob's family. We have been having the best time. I have to be honest I kind of thought I would hate this vacation because I am not a mountain girl, but I have learned that maybe I am. I have really enjoyed everything we have done. The views and nature have been so wonderful. This was been such a wonderful week.

The Peaks of the trip are hiking lake Louis, fun family discussions. quad riding, and just spending time with Jacob's siblings they are so much fun.

The Pit of this trip was that we had to bring Lilly so we couldn't just run off and have fun with everyone. Don't get me wrong Lilly has also made some parts of this trip so much fun be when traveling with the Ash's it's better to just not have your kids there.

I never want to forget what a great family I have. I'm so very lucky to marry into such a family that I love. I honestly love every member and think they are all pretty amazing!

Today Julie and I found a porcupine. We thought we were cool for getting this close.

Jacob had a successful and fun fishing trip on lake Minnewanka

 Canoeing on lake Louise

My hubby and the littlest Ash having fun and enjoying the beauty at Lake Louise today.

Top of the logging road enjoying the view

Wapta falls the third largest in Canada

Jacob being a good sport and letting his wife drive

Wattawa falls

Shopping in Banff for gifts for the boys. Jacob snapped this picture of me goofing around. Lilly apparently doesn't think I am funny.

Daniel came out for breakfast wearing Linda's wig

This is a wolf walking around our car. It was a little creepy and made me afraid and a little scared to hike.

Daddy and little girl hiking to the waterfalls.

Lilly really loved hiking today. Especially after her nap

Standing at the top of the highest falls. Oops we're kind of standing in front of them.

Huge Thanks to Papa Cec and Julie for watching sweet Lilly while Mommy and Daddy played

Nursing has just become dangerous Lilly officially has a tooth.

Hey Mom all ready to ride ATVs under waterfalls. Let's go!

Daniel and Adam with some of their catches!

Me Zippling over kick horse river. They said if you lay flat the faster you went. I was trying my hardest to go as fast as possible.

It's hard to make those outfits look good but I think we did it. LOL

Just one of the many mud holes we went through. A little mud never hurt anybody!

This is more like a seek and find but today a group went fishing and the whole time bald eagles followed them around. the eagles would fly down and scoop up the fish that they threw back. Look close you'll see the eagle in the trees waiting.

Hiking to the tea house at Lake Louise

All the men up top.

This is what logging does to our forests. it's so sad to see the destruction it does. It made me sad :(

When they are older

To day was the first day of karate for the boys. This was definitely my Peak it was amazing

My Pit was today I got a margarine. To top it off it started during our anniversary diner.

Recently I have been having a hard time with the night time feelings Lilly isn't going back to bed so easy and I am warn out. I knew she was fine so I finally just shut off the monitor and let her cry. I Never want to forget that Lilly was totally fine and still loved me in the morning. I am now more rested which is better for everyone! For the record crying it out is VERY hard for me and I would NEVER do it until the baby is much older. Not an infant.
Eli and Liam had their first karate lesson today. I'm not going to lie it was one of the best moments of my life,

M
Married 7 years ago today!  Still love that face @ja312 I wouldn't trade a second of the last 7 years for anything. Including the fun and the not so fun parts. Love ya
